Past Lives - How to Deal with Them (a reply to M)

Hey M, I'm glad you posted your question and I will do my best to give you an answer.

The first thing to do is to look at my last couple of post, specifically Past Lives - How they Affect You?" In this post I describe how the events and situations of this life are controlled or drawn to us based on our past lives and karma. In drawing these situations to you, your higher self or soul is looking to give you an opportunity to heal the situation.

As I mentioned in the post the positive situations/emotions are not an issue (as I'm sure you would agree). We therefore start by looking at the negative emotions that you are feeling: isolation, fear, loneliness, and uncertainty, whatever the emotions are that you are feeling.

The next steps take some effort and practice and you may not get your healing right away, f you don't, I'm sad to say you have to start back at the beginning of the process (looking at your emotions).

Once you have identified what it is you are feeling, and then you must start to look inside. These feelings and the situation that caused them are not someone else’s fault. No one made you feel these things. You then separate yourself from the emotions, and recognize that these emotions are not yours but those of the past self. As you become skilled at this you will be able to identify the specifics of the past life.

The last step is to separate yourself from the past self. This is the most difficult piece and the hardest to explain. Many people I've talked to have different ways of visualising this. But what you are doing to completing your experience and releasing the past self.

If the situation does not clear there are two common reasons. First is that you have not cleared the past self, likely because you got the past life wrong. The second is that you are now being affected by a different past life; it is common for past lives to build on one another, so that many lives have had similar situations and emotions with them.

M, I hope this helps you out, if you need more detail or have specific question please let me know and I will focus on those areas.

Love and Light,
Terry

Past Lives - How they Affect You?

As I posted in previously, I believe that we have lived past lives and in those lives we have created negative, positive and neutral karma. We will ignore positive and neutral karma as they don't have an effect on us. It is how ever the many negative karma situations that we must worry about.

To understand how we can clear or heal our past karma we must understand how they affect us.

The events in our lives are drawn to us, whether they are "good" or "bad" based on the energy relationships (karma) we have with those situations and people. When we encounter a situation that brings out a past karma we transfigure. In transfiguring we become the past self. The past self then tries to play out the karma or situation as it knows (basically repeating the actions from the past life. In this way we are basically reading the script of our past lives. This is why many situations in our lives are repeated. We are being given the chance to deal with our karma from a past life, but until we do we follow the same script.

Follow the same script does not mean literally doing exactly what we did before, but it means we end up with the same energies and emotions in play. In a past life you may have argued with someone regarding the ownership of a horse and in this life it could be a car or something completely different. It is also important to know that in order to understand a situation we must experience both side. So the person that robs you may be someone you stole from in a past life.

When a past life replays it is not the specific action that are ultimately important but the energy and emotions of the parties involved. In a future post I will go over how to heal a past life/karma. But to get started I recommend that you watch your emotions. Watch for negative emotions (hate, jealousy, sadness) and actions (gossip, physical violence); recognize that these things are not emotions or actions that you desire.

The Importance of The Da Vinci Code

Over the weekend I went to see The Da Vinci Code and I have been trying to get through the book. The movie was good, I have no complaints as far as movies go, but I've been fighting my way through the book. I know most people rave about the book but in reality the book is not well written, but this is not what I want to talk about.

There are a lot of people fighting over the book/movie. What each side views as truth and lies, but is this what is truly important about the book? For me no; I'm not a church going and I respect everyone’s right to believe what they want. What I think is most important are the questions that the book raises regarding the formation of the church.

In order to understand the validity of the bible and what it says you have to understand how it was created in the first place. I can't say if how the movie/book shows the bible was created it accurate or not, but I think it does ask question worth asking of any religious book. Who wrote or created the book? What did they choose exclude? What was the ultimate goal of the creators?

Any religious or spiritual book/writing are the portrayal of "facts" as the author hopes to convey. Did the author intend on helping others? Or, is there intent to fool the read? Or, is it simply a misinterpreted work of fiction?

For these reason I believe that the ultimate source for the truth is within. It is within that you will determine if the bible speaks to you or if the Da Vinvi Code makes you question the church. It is our own truth that matters more than anything else.

Past Lives - How old are you?

Over the past little while I have posted regarding dealing with negative events and situations. In many of the posts I referred to the source of these situations as being in our past lives and past selves. Understanding past lives is an important part of dealing with negative events in out lives and healing.

Today it would be very difficult for you to find a person that did not have past lives. The fact is that our past lives control almost every aspect of our lives unless we do something to stop it. We would all like to believe the physics when they say we were someone important, but the reality is that in most of your life you are not notable people from history. You are just as you are now, a person living out his life unknown by most of the world. I don’t mean this in a negative way; it’s just a statement of fact. After all does this not describe most people?

Often when you visit a physic they like to tell you that you are an old soul. My brother-in-law was just told this exact thing, but has anyone ever asked them what they mean by an old soul? To be honest I'm not surprise that so many people are old souls, because it is a subjective term. Before you read on I want you to answer two questions. How old is an old soul (years old or number of life times)? How old do you think your soul is?

Well it may surprise you but an average soul can be hundreds of thousands of years olds, having possibly lived thousands of life times. You can see how some psychics could think of the average person as being an old soul.

In future postings I will cover how our past lives affect our current life, but it is important to understand that our souls are much older than many might think, and that those thousands of past lives have influence over our current actions and life.

Pandemic

Over the last while there has been a lot of discussion in the new regarding the Avian/Bird flu (H5N1) and a pandemic if the flu were to mutate to a human to human transmittable virus. Last night my wife and I had a discussion around this issue and some of what came out of that discussion I want to share here.

She asks, "Why are so many people worried about this?" My answer, "because over half of the people who have been infected with it have died." (115 Deaths in 205 cases, WHO).
She asks, "So that would mean that at least one of us would die? Does that no concern you?"My answer, "Not really."

So why don't I worry about a virus that possible could wipe out half the worlds population and could kill a lot of my family? Because I don't honestly thing it will. It's being watched very carefully and there is a lot of work going on to make sure it doesn't happen. Also it is not happening. I'm not one to worry until the event is on us.

That being said, my wife also asked if my beliefs had a part in my not worrying and they do. I know that dying is not a bad thing. Dying is just a transition and one I'm not scared of taking. If it was my family and not me that died would I not feel sad? Likely, but deep down I understand that they have continued their journey that the events that led to their deaths were part of a learning for them. I don't believe in mourning the dead. Mourning is for the living.

I also believe that all illnesses and other negative situations in our lives are caused on a spiritual/energetic level and not on the physical level. The reason you get sick is because of a spiritual lesson you need to learn, a karma you need to work our and a past life you need to release. If you are able to obtain you spiritual healing then the illnesses or situation will resolve itself in the manner that you spiritually require.

I believe that fear comes from the lack of knowledge and understanding. Fear comes from the unknown. A pandemic although may have unknown components to it, I know one a spiritual level where they come from and how to deal with them. There for no fear.

Even if you can not shine a physical light on something and understand it or tell how future events will unfold, if you shine your spiritual light on it, even though all the answer will not be there, you will understand and the fear will lift.

Spiritual understanding is the true source of understanding, the true way to remove fear from our lives and in the end the only understanding that matters.

Finding time for the Spirit

As you might have noticed it has been a while since my last post. I recognize this but I'm not going to get into the habit of saying sorry because I don't post. After all I don't get paid for doing this and ultimately I write because I get enjoyment out of it and if I have to force it I think my posts will suffer and some times my real life gets in the way.

Many of us live what we consider to be busy lives. We struggle to find a balance between work, play, family and spirit. Each is important to us for different reasons so finding and justifying a balance can be very difficult. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been busier than normal and the number of my posts here has fallen off. As well, my focus on my spirit has fallen to side as well.

But it doesn't have to and in a way it doesn't truly fall to the side. After all our spirit should be and is part of our every day life. How we respond to traffic or a decision in not only logical and emotional but spiritual as well. We can keep spirit in our every day by bringing it into our every day. By that I don't mean going around telling all your co-workers your beliefs, but it is rather living them. When you respond to the traffic jam are you doing so in a spiritual way? For most of us it not likely. Well take that extra second and respond in the correct way. The same when you are faced with a decision, be it a moral decision or a more logical decision, take your spirit into account. It is a choice that spiritually sound?
Spiritually is more than saying we believe something. It is how we live our lives and treat those around us. It is apart of us. If what we do and what we say don't match than either out actions or words are lying.
