It's Never OK to Kill

With recent event in the middle east this topic has come to my mind. Israel is attacking and killing and trying to justify this by saying that it is for their own defence and to get their soldiers back. It is unfortunately that in our world today that people still feel the need for violence and that there are people who only understand violence. Peace is not something we have seen on the world as a whole since fighting was invented.

I honest believe that there is never a situation that it is OK to attack, hurt or kill someone. This includes not only physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When you realise the truth that any violent situation you find yourself in, you have drawn to yourself you will begin to see that the problem is not the other person, but in side yourself. If you deal with and heal the past life that has drawn the violence to you then the situation will defuse or will not effect you spiritually. Remember that death is not to be fear, it is a transition and the one that bring the possibility for true spiritual ascension.

I would like to close with one final comment. I am not Jewish but does not their bible teach that Moses came down off the mountain carrying two stones with the 10 commandments from God. Was not one of those commandments "thou shall not kill." There were not exceptions added to the commandment, it was just that simple "thou shall not kill."

Looking Outside

One of the most common situations that I see is people that are looking for their spiritual answers from an outside source. Now this doesn't mean that you can not learn from others only that the only place that you can find the "truth" is within yourself. It is common for people to focus so much on finding answers outside that they forget to look inside and find out what there own spirit is telling them. As I have stated before I don't think that we can understand the whole truth on the physical plane and thus each of our truths our incomplete and thus have some flaws.

I have seen people who rely so much on someone else's vision of the truth or their skills in healing or psychic knowledge of our past lives or future. In reality this is not where the answers about or past of future lie. No one else can truly heal us. At some point in order to develop spiritually we must stand up and say, that I can do all these things myself, I have all the answers that I need inside and I don't need to follow someone else.

As always I add that I think there are still things we can learn from each other and that by sharing what we know about the "truth" with each other, we all get a little closer to the real "truth"

The Creator

Many faiths are based around a creator. A person or being that made everything we know including all the living things. The creator or the creation of the universe is one of the critical things in religions, but I ask is it truly important. Most scientists are now ignoring or at least recognizing that knowing what happened before the big bang it something that we can know. Basically that time started with the big bang. At this point most faiths have dropped the idea that the world was just dropped into existence in its current state and believe that the creator initiated the big bang and directed its development.

I have never been one to believe in a traditional god. It has long been my belief that any being powerful enough to create the universe and in the case of the bible be perfect, isn't really going to care if I believe in them and that if they are going to judge me in the after life that it will not be based on if I went to the right church or prayed to the right god. They will judge me on how I lived my life.

That being said I don't believe that we are judge in this way, not by a higher being. Higher beings know enough not the judge other and approach others with an understanding. It is though here on this world that judge other and ourselves. Where we go after we die is more dependants on how much we have learned; have we learned enough that we can live on the higher planes? If not, then we come back to do more learning.

One of my favorite explanations for life and the universe comes for the TV show "Babylon 5". In the show one of the groups tells the one of the main characters that we are "Manifestations of the universe trying to understand itself." Now I don't think that it’s this simple or that we are just what we are now, but it is close.

I believe that we are children of the universe. I believe that procreation and spiritual development are two of the natural driving forces. The universe itself is no different. It like us continues to grow as we do. At some point in the future we ourselves will grow to the point where the universe was at the big bang. At that point we will create out own universe and continue our journey.
